ABOUT US

47 YEARS OF GROWTH

Established in 1979 as part of the University of Minnesota Water Ski Club, the Twin Cities River Rats have a rich history. Starting on Lake Independence, they evolved from exhibition shows in the 1980s to hosting the first-ever Minnesota State Show Ski Tournament in 1992. Relocating to the Mississippi River in 1996, they garnered success, winning the Midwest Regional Tournament in 1999 and making their National Show Ski Tournament debut.

Since then, the team has won Midwest Regionals multiple times! The team's dedication is evident through numerous awards, record crowds, and a commitment to community service.
